The first and only Filipino children’s museum

ABOUT US

M

useo Pambata is a children’s interactive museum, the first of its kind in the Philippines. It aims to provide an alternative to the formal classroom environment, engaging the minds of the young, inspiring them to learn more, and revitalizing what child education should be – fun and exciting!

Through our exhibits, programs, and events, we empower Filipino children to learn by experience about what it means to be an active agent in nation-building.

A cultural playground in the heart of Manila

OUR STORY

S

ince 1993, the Museo has been championing Filipino childhood and pioneering cultural education through the five senses.

The space is the dream come true of Nina Lim-Yuson, an early childhood educator and mother. Inspired by the Boston Children’s Museum, she wished for a similar place back home where Filipino youths can learn and have fun at the same time.

Former Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary, Estefania Aldaba-Lim shared this dream with her, and together, they brought the museum to life — providing children with their own place in the cultural narrative of Manila.
